Our February meeting will be held on Saturday February 17, 2007 due to a few members being away for the AL OH Message Board cruise. The time will remain the same from 2-4 pm.
Also, please remember our new meeting location at the North Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department. 3670 Coosada Ferry Road.

January Meeting Notes :)
We had a great meeting on Saturday Jan 20 and a wonderful turn out to the dinner at the Macaroni Grill as well.

I also want to thank Deborah Crews and the Alabama District Council of the Assembly of God Headquarters for allowing us to meet at there office for so long. We truly appreciate everything you have done for us!

Janurary 2007
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a wonderful 2006 and is looking forward to having a great 2007! I know I am!
With that said, it is time to get back into the swing of things. Our first support group meeting of 2007 will be on Saturday January 20, 2007 from 2-4 pm at the same location. Due to unforseen events Debbie will be out of town the weekend of the 13th and our meeting location will remained locked until she gets back. Until then, take care of yourselves and remember to get that protein in!

How to Understand and Use the Nutrition Facts Label
Even though we all have had or may want to have weight loss surgery to become healthier there are a lot of people out there that still don't know how to read the labels on the food they purchase. Here is a website from the Food and Drug Administration with just that information.

Awesome Meeting!
I wanted to say THANKS to EVERYONE who attended today's meeting! We had 11 in attendance!
Janelle, it was good to see you again and you are doing so good @ 10 weeks out!
It was good to see Linda again. She doesn't have internet but is the sweetest person! She is the sister to the Leader of the Troy group I attend, Mrs. Alice Leverett. Some of you met Mrs. Alice at our last meeting.
Cindy, I'm so glad I got to meet you! WE HAVE to get you an updated pic! You have MELTED! I hate I missed tonight's singing!
Peter and Carolyn, as always, it's so good to see you! Peter, I'm glad you are RE-involved! It's good to have you around and I am so glad I'm gaining a NEW FRIEND!! You are a blessing to me man!
Debbie and Leo! I'm so thankful to you guys for allowing us the opportunity to meet in your office! Debbie CONGRATS on your weight loss since the last meeting!
Lisa D, it was so good to meet you! You are BEAUTIFUL! COME OUT OF LURK MODE!! We won't bite!!

SPECIAL THANKS TO GAIL for the protein samples today! You did an awesome job! I'm so glad that God placed you as our Co-Leader! I'm so blessed because of you!
You all bless me more and more everytime we meet! This group is so awesome to me and I NEED THIS! I learn from you all! I'm so thankful for all of you. I know we are only going to GROW! Not because of me, but because we ALL have input and SUPPORT for each other! That's what it is all about!
See ya'll on the 2nd Saturday in October which will be the 14th at 2 p.m. Mark your calendars now! We are going to have a special guests. Her name is Susan and she is a fitness trainer. She is going to talk to us about the importance of fitness and excersie in our weight loss journey! She called me on Friday! Gail, our flyers you made are not only working to draw people interested in or who have had WLS, but also for SPEAKERS!! WOO HOO!!

Support group meeting today
Do not forget that the HOW support group will be meeting today from 2-4 pm at 5919 Carmichael Road (Alabama District Council of the Assemblies of God Headquarters. Please come and join us if you can.
This meeting is open to all gastric bypass patients who are pre operative or post operative or to anyone who is interested in more information on the surgery. Family members are also welcome.
